Sunrise seemed quite different in Dubai, the light was different, the colours weren’t varied, instead a grey haze seemed to appear and turned to sun very quickly. It was the first time I had experienced a desert before and it was breathtaking - the miles and miles of sand peaks and not a person in sight was peaceful yet it felt very isolated. It was silent, until Sandy The Landy lost her grip in the sand… with a bit more tyre deflation and a few hands to dig us out, we came out the other side. Goose, the dog, chased us for miles. There was something mesmerising about standing at the highest point of a sand dune and watching a dog chase a defender across an open stretch of land. This is one of my favourite photographs from this trip and will forever help me remember this content creation experience.
